Busana
Hindari kemeja bermotif ramai.

Rambut
Tatalah rambut Anda sepantasnya.

Make up
Untuk Anda para wanita, gunakan make up wajah sewajarnya.
Gunakan make up dengan warna-warna natural. Bagi pria tentu saja tidak perlu make up wajah.

Bagaimana? Udah siap kan tampil wawancara...? Good-luck...! (ast/afi)

Tips Menerima Panggilan Wawancara

Tips Menerima Panggilan Wawancara

6. Alamat jelas.
Pastikan alamat pemasang iklan jelas.

7. Batas waktu pengirimansurat lamaran.

Kiat-kiat Untuk Mendapat Pekarjaan

Kiat-kiat Untuk Mendapat Pekarjaan

4. Buatlah Career Portfolio
Buatlah career portfolio Anda dengan menyiapkan dokumen-dokumen pelengkap seperti surat lamaran, resume, surat rekomendasi, piagam penghargaan, transkrip nilai, ijazah, sertifikat, kartu nama (jika ada).

5. Perluas Jaringan
Mencari pekerjaan seringkali memerlukan kerjasama team.

Selamat mencoba.

Tips In Choosing An IT Career

Tips In Choosing An IT Career
Need assistance getting into the IT industry? The following expert advice is designed to help those interested in getting into this field.

1. If entering into the IT field for the first time, it is important that you learn your trade. Select a technical area of interest and become an expert. Although necessary, more is required than simply studying the printed circuit-board layout.
Start out by attending trade shows and interacting with customers, vendors and competitors. By doing this and joining professional associations you will be on the road to setting up your knowledge base and reputation for a career in IT.

2. A career with a medium-sized to large firm makes you less vulnerable than if you start out as an independent IT consultant. Increase your value by developing and enhancing your skills. Know what's hot -- J2EE and Net, the leading portals, and business analytical and intelligence skills fall into this category.

3. Join three high traffic job boards, three IT career job boards and three college boards. Search job postings and apply to those that are of interest to you and those that you are qualified for.

4. Create your personal potential outside of IT. If technology was your area of study in the classroom consider an internship or learn about business through entry-level operation positions in insurance, financial services or health care.

5. Look for employment with government contractors that can assist you in obtaining a security clearance. A clearance will give you access to work on government programs that have advanced computer systems which can open doors to leading-edge technologies and opportunities.

6. The likelihood of getting the IT career you are looking for begins with the introduction. It is important that you stand out from the crowd. In other words, distinguish yourself from the competition. Create a strong cover letter and resume.
Don't forget follow-up communication. Give prospective employers insight into your work habits and achievements, highlight networking projects and Website development.

7. Develop a directory of persons that can help you get into the IT field. Attend job fairs and join technical associations. Set up informational interviews.

8. Are you considering a technical management role? If so, don't wait for the opportunity to find you. Pursue it! However, make certain that management is right for you. Although you feel you are a brilliant IT person, are you really suited for management?

9. Look for insight and guidance about an IT career from someone you trust and respect. This could be an associate with whom you interned, a professor or alumnus. Inquire about how they reached their goals and how they solved problems at work.

10. Getting exposure to a wide range of activities and functions is important. If you're employed, volunteer to undertake new and different responsibilities. Expose yourself to as many different segments of IT as possible. Find out what you like and don't like, your strengths and your potential for development.

Tips On Planning A Successful Video Conference

Tips On Planning A Successful Video Conference
Planning a successful video conference can actually be harder then it sounds. There are several key factors you want to make sure and get right or your conference could become a total nightmare. This short article gives several tips on making sure you succeed with your next video conference.

Nobody likes long-winded meetings and video conferences are no different. Always plan your conferences to last no longer then 1 or 2 hours long. Longer sessions will leave participants tired and bored.

Make sure you prepare an agenda before the event. Double check to make sure you have all of your graphic aids, teaching materials and any other important or relevant materials on hand. Prepare a suitable seating arrangement and ensure that nameplates or tags (if you use them) are clearly legible and nothing is misspelled.

Try to plan your video conference as far in advance as possible. Make sure you do the necessary coordination with your company's IT department for any support you may need in order for your conference to be a success. If your dealing with an overseas location early preparation and coordination is vital to your success.

Attend all test sessions to make sure that your video link is clearly working properly. Use this time to also familiarize yourself with the equipment that will be used during the session. Hand any and all materials for transmission to the video conferencing site technician at least two days in advance so that he/she can get familiar with it. For optimum readability, use large and clear fonts. Use a wide margin, as the sides will be slightly cut off on screen. Keep to the landscape format, with simple pictures and few words.

Prepare a list of questions and answers prior to the conference in order to keep the session flowing in a smooth, quick manner. Arrange for participants to assemble at the video conferencing venue 10 minutes before the session begins so that you will have time to hand out all materials.

Some final tips include:

Dress appropriately

Arrive 15 minutes early to spot any last minute glitches

Avoid wearing intense colored cloths to include all-light or all-dark clothing

Avoid distracting gestures during the conference to include finger tapping and facial expression

Test the microphones to be used during the conference in order to find any that may have flaws.

A successful video conference can be done all it requires is an attention to detail prior to and leading up to the minute the conference actually starts. Spend the necessary time needed to do the things this article outlines and you'll have everyone talking about how professional you are when it comes to setting up a video conference.

| Lowongan | Trusted Management Score Card

(Lowongan Kerja Online) - Share this article with coworkers in an email and enter your TOTAL SCORE in the Subject Line, ask for a reply to see how your score relates to others in your organization. Trust is a fundamental foundation for any relationship, business or personal.
Without it, the relationship has defined limits and greater risk of gradual erosion or collapse. With Trust, the relationship is exponentially stronger than the sum of the individual contributors.

Score each of the categories on a scale of 1 (low confidence) to 10 (high confidence).
(1) Tolerance: Rate the level of security. How much concern is there about making a mistake? How familiar are you with the term "C.Y.A."?

(2) Confidence: Rate the level of confidence in taking reasonable and measured risks. How much confidence is there with a position or making a decision?

(3) Authority: Rate the level of personal control, the ability to make decisions that pertain to individual specific job responsibilities.

(4) Common Goals: Rate the level of awareness and aligned strategy.

(5) Empathy: Rate the level of compassion and understanding of individual personal objectives and motivation.

(6) Consistency: Rate the level of continuity in decisions, actions and communications.

(7) Integrity: Rate the level of integrity exhibited throughout the organization as exemplified by ethical decisions and actions.

(8) Selflessness: Rate the level of 'self-sacrifice' or parity with regards to activities between management and contributors.

(9) Ownership: Rate the level of personal individual responsibility for success, support of others, and dedication to the common good of the team.

(10) Communication: Rate the level of communication by quality, confidence and honesty (not necessarily the quantity).

Total Score ---------------- out of 100

How does your score compare with the other people in your organization?

Score 90-100: A rich environment of trust and confidence that encourages mutual support for common goals. This is an organization that empowers individuals to contribute to shared rewards, as well as an opportunity to experience self-attainment. Individuals within this organization can develop personal talents and enjoy an atmosphere of continuous learning.
Even if you feel that you are temporarily in the wrong position, apply your talents and develop your skills and your contributions will deliver lasting personal and professional rewards. The grass really is greener on your side of the fence.

Score 80-90: This is exceptional. Be proud of your organization and the people around you that treat you like family. Your score indicates that you are honest with yourself, as we as with your coworkers. You have a healthy environment and are willing to acknowledge that there is always a little room for improvement. This is why you will continue to improve, and you will support others to achieve greater goals as well. Create a reminder for yourself to cherish and protect this environment.
Some people only realize how good they had it after it is gone. Don't let that happen to you. Recognize, encourage and promote the trust within the organization, and share this experience with your customers and clients.

Score 70-80: You are beating the odds. This score indicates that you have a foundation of trust, and that there may be some areas for improvement. Compare the different categories for areas of strength. Focus on actions or activities that will promote the areas of strength while you initiate communications to unravel the areas of concern.
Sometimes the weak categories are related to specific events, misunderstandings, or possibly even specific individuals. Areas of weakness as illustrated by low scores may take time and planning to remove obstacles and develop trust.

Score 60-70: There is risk of losing talented individuals. The talent that does not abandon ship will be underutilized and demoralized. The first step to creating an environment of trust is to be honest with yourself, then honest with your peers. Honesty does not mean confrontation with each other, but it may be necessary to confront some difficult topics with fierce and open communications.
It will take conscientious effort to improve and sustain, but it is worth the investment of time and energy. Remember that the first step to becoming trusted is to allow yourself to be trusting.

Score Below 60: The race is on to see who will leave first, typically the customers will be the first to go, and then the employees. Get help, this isn't funny anymore. The employees who stay will feel trapped, as personal perception becomes clouded to believe that there is nothing else better. The confident individuals will eventually recognize another opportunity and go to greener pastures.
Loyalty, like trust, is a two way street. The bigger risk is that the individuals who flourish in this type of environment are satisfied with taking advantage of the organization, coworkers, and eventually even the customers.

Reflection The University of Chicago interviewed 800 Americans in 2002 and discovered that more than 80% had 'only some' or 'hardly any' confidence in the people running major corporations. More to the point, according to the results of the 2002 Golin-Harris survey, 69% of respondents agreed with the statement "I just don't know who to trust anymore". If there is a predominant lack of confidence based on lack of trust, imagine the competitive edge for any company that can offer an environment for individual contributors to flourish with confidence, security and unleashed creativity.
Organizations that nurture a culture of trust have an advantage when it comes to hiring and retaining talent. The environment that is fostered inside the organization becomes brilliantly or blazingly apparent to customers, clients and competitors outside it.

Words of Wisdom
"It's troubling because a distrustful environment leads to expensive and sometime terminal problems. We hardly need reminding of the recent wave of scandals that shattered the public's faith in corporate leaders.
And although you'll never see a financial statement with the line item labeled "distrust", the WorldCom fiasco underscores just how expensive broken trust can be." - Robert F. Hurley, "The Decision to Trust"

"A person who trusts no one can't be trusted." - Jerome Blattner
"Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly, and they will show themselves great." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Overcoming The Stresses of Finding A Job and Career

Overcoming The Stresses of Finding A Job and Career
Layoffs in the business world are common and with it comes the fear and anxiety of finding another job. With this in mind, here is a list of techniques that a person can use to help manage their stresses and anxieties in finding a new job or career. A technique that can be used to reduce the stress of finding another job is to divide the task into a series of smaller steps and then complete each of the smaller tasks one at a time.

For instance, the first thing you should do is to determine what kind of job you want. Once you know what you are looking for, the next step is to update and prepare your resume. Once that is finished, you should then concentrate on finding the companies that interest you and send your resume to them. Once you submit your resume, the next step is to prepare for the job interview.
By completing these smaller tasks, you will reduce your stress and anxiety and increase your chances of finding another job.

Sometimes we may get depressed during our job search. Another technique that is very helpful is to have a small notebook of positive statements that make us feel good. Whenever you come across an affirmation that makes you feel good, write it down in a small notebook that you can carry around with you in your pocket. Whenever you feel depressed, open up your small notebook and read those statements.

In addition, it also helps to write down a list of things you are thankful for in this world. For instance: good health, a good marriage, lots of friends, being smart and resourceful, and a good education are things that any person can be thankful for.

Whenever you get discouraged in finding another job, take out your list and focus on the things that make you happy. This technique will make you feel better and give you more encouragement to continue with the job search.

Sometimes, we may be nervous doing a certain task that may be scary. When this happens, visualize yourself doing the task in your mind. For instance, you have an interview in a few days.
Before the big day comes, imagine yourself that your in the interview. Imagine that you are talking to the manager about your qualifications. By practicing the interview using your mind, you will be better prepared to perform for real when the time comes. Self-Visualization is a great way to reduce the fear and stress of a coming situation.

Finding a new job can be tough, however remember to take it one day at a time. While the consequences of a particular fear may seem real, there are usually other factors that can not be anticipated and can affect the results of any situation. Focus on the present and do your best each day. Next week will take care of its self. Our anxieties and stresses can be difficult to manage when finding a new job.
Managing your stress during a job search takes practice. Be patient and in time you will become better in dealing with your anxieties.

Barry Michaels-Radio is My Life!

Barry Michaels-Radio is My Life!
Thirty year broadcast veteran Barry Michaels, ('Michaels In The Morning') has quite a few stories to tell! His early life was an idyllic one, growing up on picturesque farm land in the southeastern United States, with a Mom and Dad to admire and a support group of aunts and uncles that many don’t have today.
Barry became interested in radio at an early age, becoming a ‘gopher’ for one local radio personality and quickly learning where the emphasis is placed in the term ’show business’.

Barry's career began in earnest after college, when he finally screwed up his courage to apply at a small radio station near his hometown, where he spoke mostly to cows. Little did management know that he would have paid them to be on the air! From having the honor of being recognized by his peers with nominations as Major Market Air Personality of the Year to working as a towel boy in a swanky country club between radio jobs, you’ll share in Barry’s top of the mountain triumphs and bottom of the valley lows.

You'll get to meet some of the most talented professionals in the business and you'll cheer the heroes and clinch your teeth at the bad guys! Barry also honors those who entertained and inspired an entire generation of radio personalities-the voices on those fifty thousand watt a.m. radio stations with legendary call letters like WLS, WCFL, WABC and more. From sleeping in his Volkswagen 'Bug' to traveling across the United States five times in search of the perfect on air radio job, Barry's stories are poignant and laugh out loud funny. Learn how Barry was almost gunned down by a psychotic listener at a radio station in Orlando, Florida before his boss intervened. See radio through his eyes when he begins work at a rock and roll station that employs a Catholic priest as a 'DJ’, and dodges flying beer bottles in one of the many bars he makes appearances in for his radio station.

The 'Radio Road' is fraught with many bumps along the way and you may even see yourself as Barry attempts to raise three young sons as a single father and tries a comeback after a bitter divorce and child custody battle. You may not want to enter the thirty five dollar a week almost condemned house Barry was living in while awaiting the court’s ruling. You really don’t want to wake up in his room during a thunderstorm as rats prepare to feast on his toes! Meet his new landlord, who’s down on his luck too, and has a secretive past with the United States Army.

Barry's adventures have taken him from the beautiful stillness of his blue Virginia mountains to the golden Pacific ocean--all seen through the window of his beloved Volkswagen Beetle, which he still owns. It's radio, it’s life, and it's real.
Come along for the ride, and find out the true stories of those 'masked riders of the hertzian wave.' With photo and audio collection. Read more about Barry's life here-http://www.thebarrymichaels.com

How To Search For An Apartment Online

How To Search For An Apartment Online
It is never easy to find an apartment online, but the electronic search for a home is very easy to get the hang of.

The best place to start is the Craiglist, a resource that is available in most of the major cities. In case you are not familiar with this term, you should think of it as an electronic bulletin board for apartment seekers. The advantage of this is the fact that there is no middleman involved, and you just respond to the ad and get the details on where and when to see the apartment. Should this solution not satisfy your needs, then you can use Rentnet, which is another apartment resource of all the major cities. Rentnet also provides a list of tips and other helpful articles on how to learn the ins and outs of apartment searching online.

When doing an online apartment search, it would be best if you decided if you want a room mate or not. This is because if you do not want a room mate, you will most likely go through many ads seeking roommates on places like Craigslist, unless you specify otherwise in your search. So, the advanced search engines will help you in narrowing down the list to the ads that correspond to your demands.

There is a certain similarity between searching for an apartment and online dating. The main reason for it is the fact that many people may hide flaws in their apartments until they can get you out to look at the space. The apartments may have low water pressure or old flooring.

Therefore the apartment ads with no pictures of the actual space must be ruled out, or at least put aside, in case nothing better comes along. The landlords will most likely answer any question about a certain apartment, so you should feel free and ask them anything that may bother you.

Whenever you decide to go seeing an apartment, you should ask a friend to come along. This is because you are meeting these people for the first time, and only after a viewing a few emails and a web site. In these situations, you must never be too trusting.

So, at least tell someone where you are going and always take the cell phone with you, just to be absolutely sure that nothing bad will happen to you there.

How To Safely Search For A Job

How To Safely Search For A Job
In order to keep away from all sorts of scams, going online to look for a job must be done after taking into account a few tips. Should one be looking for a place to work or should one be searching for a mate, the Internet is a means of transforming and influencing every aspect of a person's life.

The job opportunities field is a domain where the Internet seems to have taken the lead and all this with the aid of the technology!
No more reading the local newspaper to find a new job! Job seekers nowadays have endless possibilities to find a job across the street, or across the country, simply by signing on to their computers and visiting one of many websites dedicated to jobs and job seekers.

Caution and common sense are most important while surfing the Internet, even if most of these sites are a legitimate way to connect job seekers with willing employers. The main reason for this is the fact that by applying for a job, you will give out some highly sensitive and personal information. Should it get in the wrong hands, this information can get you ruined in an instant, in both the financial and the personal life. So, always be careful with these things. Job seekers must also be aware of spam, as there are numerous programs that crawl the internet seeking to capture the email addressees of those who post their resumes at various job seeking services. It might be a good thing to get a new email account, that you will only use for the job search. This way, the user can defend himself against unwanted emails.
A special email address set up can also make it much easier to sort out the job matches and job offers from the other email you get. If you have an email address entirely dedicated to the job search, any serious offers for interviews or job notices can easily be found and replied to.

The following step is to protect yourself and your personal information, by checking the sources of all job offers. It would be safe to remember all the sites you have accounts with and if a company you have no account with should ask for your personal information, you must ask where they got your resume from. If their answer is satisfying, then you can go on with that company.

Sopankah Menanyakan Hasil Wawancara?

Perusahaan pun pasti maklum atas pertanyaan Anda.

(GCM/Astaga)

The No-Recuitment-Consultants.com
Business Model: Why We Are Free and How We are Free

(Lowongan Kerja Online) - Established practice in the recruitment industry dictates that employers pay to advertise for candidates and, once they have secured a job offer acceptance, that they are then required to pay a substantial commission to the agents who play the mediating role between employers and candidates. On the other hand, candidates do not pay anything for the privilege of using either job boards or the services of recruitment consultants. We think this situation is pretty asymmetrical and indeed unjustifiable.
Why is it then, that employers pay, often through the nose, when candidates don\'t?

After all, both candidate and employer stand to gain from what each other are offering. Put crudely, the employer gets the skills, while the candidate gets the cash. A more sophisticated reading of the situation would include other more intangible elements of exchange. Employers will hope, for instance, that they are employing far more than a repository of certain skills. They want employees who bring with them the right attitude, who can make a positive difference to the business, employees, ultimately, who dedicate themselves to the job that they do and are eager to develop and grow with the business. Candidates, on the other hand, want more than just a salary and benefits.

They want development opportunities, an inspiring culture, a reason, if you like, to get out of bed in the morning. Both parties, therefore, are exchanging value on pretty much equal terms, provided of course that both parties are ingenuous during the recruitment process. How is it, then, that employers foot the bill? Employers foot the bill, of course, because they have deeper pockets. Their need is no greater than candidates\'. If an employer fails to recruit staff as a business grows, the death knell has been sounded and it won\'t be long before liquidation ensues. Equally, a candidate must find work in order to fulfil his or her economic obligations. Without work a candidate could quickly be reduced to a parlous state. So it\'s just as serious for each party.

This being so, the differentiator must be the economic resources available to each party - and employers, especially big corporates, have vastly more than most candidates (of course, we must except the hugely affluent from this class of people (Bill Gates and his kind), although they are highly unlikely to undergo a recruitment process in any case). While we understand the nature of this particular reality, we don\'t agree with it. We take a principled stand against unfairness wherever we see it manifested in recruitment. And that goes just as much for employers as it does for candidates. Of course, some may think to themselves, \"who cares, employers can afford it?\" After all, it\'s not often that corporates are cast as the victim of the piece, is it? Well, we rebut these sentiments and for several reasons.

First, employers come in different shapes and sizes. Not all of them have global operations that gleam and shimmer with success. Indeed by far and away the majority of them are small to medium-sized. For them, recruitment spend can be seriously prohibitive and given that recruitment is probably the single most important critical success factor, the cost of recruitment can have a debilitating effect. But, even if an employer has deep pockets, that cash should either be repatriated to shareholders (who have risked their own capital to help a company prosper) or put to good use within the business to drive future growth.
Of course, investment in recruitment is one such \"good use\", but imagine if that cost simply fell away? Suddenly, that cash is available for other commercially-productive uses or, if a company is struggling with its working capital demands or even its solvency, that cost saving could make the difference between keeping the business afloat and letting it sink ignominiously beneath the waves.

Finally, we think it is simply unfair and wrong to charge one party to a recruitment process and not the other. But how do we manage to offer our services, cutting-edge as they are, to employers for free? Well, there is no real mystery to it. We make our money from advertising and affiliation deals with major corporates. It\'s a pretty radical departure from the conventional recruitment business model, but we believe that we are only doing what other job boards will eventually have to do. Certainly, the prohibitive costs that currently infect the industry will have to fall markedly.
Employers, we believe, are increasingly looking for value-for-money recruitment services and the time will come when they are no longer prepared to foot the bill for recruitment.

The internet and the innovative companies that occupy its space will make this possible. As in so many other areas of recruitment, we have looked far into the future and designed our services accordingly. The fact that they are free is just one aspect of our strategic positioning. And the best thing about offering our services for free is that we can dedicate our efforts totally to enhancing the quality of our output for employers and candidates alike. We are completely impartial. There are no sneaky charges. No vested interest in pursuing commercial policies which are inimical to either of our two constituent user groups.

This is fundamentally important. Impartiality breeds trust and competence. In fact, it\'s the lynch-pin of our ethical approach to recruitment. We would just like to point out that we are currently conducting research into recruitment practices (both off and online). We very much hope that you will be able to spare just a second or two of your time by voting in one of our polls, which are displayed on our homepage on a rotating basis.
With this research we hope to deepen and strengthen our technology to best suit the needs of employers and candidates alike. In due course (probably January 2007), we will publish our findings and describe the actions that we intend to take.

Tekanan Saat Psikotes

Wawancara psikologi punya banyak makna. Ada beberapa versi, salah satunya, menurut Bingham dan Moore, wawancara adalah "... conversation directed to define purpose other than satisfaction in the conversation itself". Sedangkan menurut Weiner, "The term interview has a history of usage going back for centuries. It was used normally to designate a face to face meeting of individual for a formal conference on some point."

Istilah kerennya mendapatkan "the right man in the right place".

Sikap pun memberikan nilai penting.

A: Action. Mengenai tindakan-tindakan apa yang telah dilakukan.
C: Condition.

(GCM/is)

The 7 Steps to Negotiate your Best Salary for a New Job

(Lowongan Kerja Online) - You've had successful interviews and you are ready to start work. Stop. Before you accept any position, establish an acceptable salary range. You will want to establish yourself toward the upper end of the range with an agreement to add pay for outstanding work at your first review and on annual reviews.

1. Do your research.
Check the company's web site for similar jobs and ask about their pay ranges. Research salary tables and articles in the Wall Street Journal; http://www.careerjournal.com , http://www.salary.com, and http://www.jobstar.org.

2. Calculate your personal salary range.
Your market value is a combination of the present going rate for similar jobs plus past experience, training and your projected future contributions.

3. Postpone salary discussions until you have been offered the job.
If you are asked to give a number, one way to respond could be: "At this point I don't know enough about this position to discuss compensation. I want to be paid fairly for the job I do. Can we discuss the job responsibilities a little further?"

4. Allow the employer the opportunity to throw out the first numbers.
When the employer asks you what kind of money you are looking for, you can answer "I don't have an upper limit. What did you have in mind?"

5. It is time to slow down the process,
much the way a basketball team catches its collective breath by slowly dribbling without pressing for the goal. The employer has announced a salary figure. How should you respond? Repeat the figure and quietly determine if the amount is within your preferred range. During the silence, you may even be given a higher offer.

6. Does the offer match your salary research?
If you need to counter the offer, pause and say, "I would love to contribute here and I appreciate your offer. From my research, I found that someone with my qualifications is being paid in the range of $__ to $__. What can you offer me in that range?

7. Don't say no as long as the offer is still on the table.
If the employer cannot come up with more money, say you'll think it over and make arrangements to check back in the next day or two. You will still be in control and may be offered the range you desired after all. In addition, think of other benefits besides salary to negotiate with such as extra paid vacation time.
