The Secrets of Amazing Energy Levels

The Secrets of Amazing Energy Levels
By John Dashfield
There's one thing that you just can't do without if you want to live a full and successful life; energy. It costs nothing, is available to everyone, and the supply is unlimited. Yet so many people seem to lack the energy to bring to life the things they would really like to manifest into their lives.

I remember a saying I heard a few years ago which stuck in my mind:
• If you have talent and energy you'll be a king
• If you have energy but no talent you'll be a prince
• but if you have talent but no energy you'll be a pauper
So many aspects of modern living seem to sap our natural energy that in order to stay feeling vibrant and truly alive we have to pay attention to certain critical areas.

Diet

It's a well used saying but you are what you eat. The standard English or American diet is far from a healthy one. The biggest single user of our energy is digestion and something like a full English breakfast or traditional roast dinner can take up to nine hours to digest! No wonder so many people need to have a lie down afterward!

The healthiest diet contains upwards of 50% of water based foods i.e. fresh fruit and vegetables. A large green salad with every meal and cutting out or at least down on caffeine, meat, dairy, sugar and snacks will make a huge difference.

I recently went through a month long intestinal cleanse and experienced significantly increased energy levels and felt amazing afterwards. If you eat a cooked diet you will have lots of horrible gunge (mucoid layers) in your intestines, which can hinder your digestion as well as being a long-term health risk. A cleanse will help you begin to eliminate these.

Exercise

A lack of exercise contributes to a lack of energy. To build health and energy you need to train aerobically because this is supplies your body with oxygen. Your lungs, heart, digestion, and elimination system will all work better when you are fit.

Research has shown that if you exercise on a regular basis for 12 months, you will do it for life. Put at least three exercise sessions per week into your schedule and stick to them.

Breathing

Our lungs are bigger at the bottom than the top and to get the right intake of oxygen we need to breathe from our diaphragm. Shallow 'chest' breathing is common and can lead to all sorts of complaints including a lack of energy.

Try power breathing 3 times a day. Inhale of the count of one, hold for the count of 4, and exhale for the count of 2. For example, if you inhaled for 4 seconds, then hold for 16 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds. Do this ten times.

A word of warning. This can make you go very dizzy because of the surge of oxygen to your brain so don't do it if you're driving (I've made that mistake!).

A balanced life

To rejuvenate and renew your energy reserves a balanced life is essential. When we work too much or too hard it reduces our energy and we achieve less. The most successful people I know actually take the most time off and lead very balanced lives.

Balance doesn't seem to happen naturally for most people so it's something we have to work at and pay attention to.

Emotions

Negative emotions drain us of energy and people who live mostly in states of worry, anxiety or, in fact, any form of fear will find it difficult to feel motivated or inspired about life.

On the other hand a life lived with a powerful sense of purpose, and with a happy, cheerful and optimistic outlook, will do amazing things for your energy levels.

These are just a few of the many things you can focus on to gain more energy. I expect most people could find ways to improve in one or more of these areas. If you had to pick just one and take some immediate action, which would it be and what would you do? Is there any good reason you cannot get started right away?

Ways to Persuade Somebody - 3 Persuasion Techniques to Eliminate Doubts and Skepticism
By Michael Lee
It's harder to find ways to persuade somebody today because of their inner skeptic. We've all been equipped with our own uncertainties and suspicions; and with times like these, it's no wonder the inner skeptic is having more say in the matter.

However, there are a few key ways to persuade somebody regardless of their skepticism. It's all in the way you deliver your argument and position yourself.

1) Credibility

One of the ways to persuade somebody is by citing a credible source. If you're talking about golf, then who better to use a source than golf legend Tiger Woods?

Of course, you have to make sure that your argument agrees with the said source's point of view. If it doesn't, you can always look for other sources like your coach or a professional article about your niche. People always find themselves trusting the experts more than their own friends or gut feelings.

2) Positives

Another one of the many ways to persuade somebody is by concentrating on the positives. People don't really want to hear about the negative stuff so you can simply stress on the positives and benefits more. Don't be too good to be true though (unless you have proof), because then the inner skeptic will cancel out your arguments.

3) Concrete evidence

In times like today, people need to be given concrete proof of whatever it is you're selling. If you're trying to persuade your friend that rice mixed with hot chocolate is delicious, you'll have to let them experience it. Or if you're trying to persuade somebody to build a franchise, you have to show them copies of the percentage of such a venture's success.

It's also helpful to stay with the facts. Like credible sources, people tend to feel more secure with facts than with gut feelings.

Learning the various ways to persuade somebody is important. Whether it's for work or for everyday matters, you need these persuasion tools to get what you want.

Unleash Your Powerful Charisma to Easily Persuade Others
By George Hutton
Would you like to learn a skill that would give you an advantage over almost anybody you meet? Would you like to be able to walk into any situation with the knowledge that within minutes, even total strangers would be looking at you with total respect and admiration? Would you like to understand the secrets behind human motivation, so that by helping others get what they want, you will virtually guarantee that they will help you get what you want?

This is one of the most powerful techniques of communication, and yet it is overlooked by so many. Can you guess which people can command this simple to wield tool of persuasion and charisma? Yep, you guessed it. Politicians, powerful courtroom lawyers, famous preachers and clergymen, actors, actresses. People throughout time that have harnessed this power have realized it's simplicity, and it's strength. Great orators of the past have been able to use this to captivate audiences and sway opinions of hostile enemies, using only their words.

That's right, their words.

When you think about how people communicate, you'll understand that most people (including your boss, and his or her boss) communicate with kind of a vague idea of what it is that they want to convey. Most people have a vague idea, and then just blurt out a bunch of words without thinking, hoping to accurately convey their idea to the person they are with. If you want to have some fun, go sit in a coffee shop, or some other public place where people speak freely. Listen in to their conversation. Pay attention to the words and sentences they are using. You will be astonished to realize that they are spewing forth clumsily constructed sentences that say the same thing over and over and over. Which is absolutely fine for a conversation in a coffee shop. Those conversations aren't really meant to be world changing and inspiring. Most people, however, communicate that way all the time.

When you begin to treat your words as skillful tools, and use them with precision and clarity, you will be shocked at how much more charisma and persuasive ability you have.

Is it any wonder that politicians have been known to give such moving speeches when they have teams of speech writers carefully crafting their words with as much engineering precision as a stealth bomber?

The biggest secret is to slow your thoughts, and clearly formulate your ideas before speaking. Many people are afraid they only have an allotted time to speak, and feel they need to get their ideas out there quickly, before somebody cuts them off. The paradox is, the slower you speak, and the more you formulate your ideas before you speak, the more attentive your listeners will be. Because as they realize that what you are speaking about is obviously important, they can't help but to listen.

For many more ways to achieve this, have a look at my blog. Many people that read on a daily basis have not only found specific tips on how to improve your communication, but encouraging and uplifting metaphors as well to help you along the way. But before you come over to read a few articles, try the coffee shop article I suggested above, and see just how much you have to gain by doing so. See you there.

Want to Be More Patient? Learn How to Increase Patience
By Trevor Johnson
Patience is a virtue, but you can develop this over time if you are not a patient person. Making a transformation from a short tempered person to a very patient and sweet person is possible with some changes. The question - How to increase patience is no more a mystery.

Firstly you must calm down. Do not flustered about every single problem, let the things go their natural way. Stop controlling things around you. You must avoid unnecessary interference in your family and friends' issues.

Do more of stuff that bring out your creativity like gardening or painting, whatever you like. If you have a hobby, be it dancing or shopping, do it. Spend time in doing activities you like to keep yourself distracted from the negative things.

If you cannot get something straight or happening, just quit. Leave it along and do not go behind it, just give up. Most of us tend to take on more responsibility and this will burden your mind. Lighten up, laugh more, go watch a movie.

If you are wondering what to do in those impatient moments, take a shower or just walk away. Even exercising and aromatherapy is said to release your tensions and make it easy for you.

Some go to hypnotherapy for help and changing themselves. If you have been trying for sometime to be patient and not working, its probably time to look at more serious ways of doing it,

Perhaps laughing clubs or lifestyle changing institutes could come to your rescue. Visit a church or even praying at home can change things. Its all to do with your mind and beliefs live in your mind.

Give it your best and try to work on changing yourself. This is how to increase your patience.

It's About Time to Master Those Listening Skills
By Amy Twain
Right from the very start since we were kids, we've already been taught and trained the value and importance of listening skills. It's already a well-known fact that acquiring good listening skills is a must-have in order to strengthen and enhance our communication. Via listening, we get to learn many things and build our communication skills. The mere act of listening can go a long way. Even as a baby, you already learned how to speak or utter a few words thru listening. Thus, we learn so many things we never knew before when we listen. Just by knowing the basics of listening skills, it can boost our communication skills.

And now, there are four main points on how to acquire good listening skills and improving them when it comes to communicating well with other people.

1. The first one is to concentrate on the person talking. Of course, we are talking about basic courtesy here. If you're the one talking, you certainly want your listener's full and undivided attention, right? And even if you're somewhat sidetracked, you will be at risk of misunderstanding the topic or even miss anything what the speaker is trying to tell you. And it also means that when you pay attention to someone, you don't mind some other tasks during a conversation. Also, stop glancing over your shoulder or at the entire room; it may be misconstrued as being not interested at all.

2. Then, another sign of showing that you listened to the speaker is when you repeat some final parts of what somebody has told you. If something is not clear with you, then say so. In this manner, it can be addressed immediately by the speaker.

3. Also, another way of enhancing your listening skills is by not distracting or interrupting the person talking. Interrupting someone while speaking may be perceived as you're more concerned and absorbed in your own thoughts rather than other people's.

Instead, you must first hear what the other party has to say and wait for him to finish before butting in to express your own thoughts and opinions. And it's impolite to break in just like that, as the speaker might forget what he's about to say.

4. Finally, in order to upgrade your listening skills, make use of the power of body language. It would also enable you to listen better and not just show that you're interested to listen. Okay for example, if you keep that eye contact (just don't stare too hard, please), you may be less distracted, or not distracted at all that easily.

Plus, if you move in a little closer, you could hear better. And one more thing though, enough with the being restless and getting fidgety. It can only signal a lack of interest or simply being bored--okay, stop yawning now. So there you have it-those tips for improving your listening skills. Just put yourself in the shoes of the speaker-what do you want with your listeners? Of course you want someone attentive, not fidgety, not easily distracted by other stuff and does not interrupt you while you talk. Try these tips above and you're on your way to being a good listener.
