Stress Management Techniques - How to Deal With Stress and Other Stress Busters

Stress Management Techniques - How to Deal With Stress and Other Stress Busters
By Jason G Gomez
On this article I am going to give you some examples of Stress busters, or other methods to deal with stress. There are many more, and do not feel restricted to just these techniques.Start a garden. Even apartment-dwellers can do this. Inside in pots, pots on the patio, pots, a small spot in your yard. There is a little work to setting it up.Tending plants, fruits, vegetables, flowers and watching them grow, bloom, or yield food is rewarding.Avid gardeners say working a garden is the best way to control stress and worry. An added benefit is the creation of a more beautiful, restful environment.

Play with a dog or cat. Experts say pet owners have longer lives and fewer stress symptoms that non-pet owners. Playing with your pet provide good vibrations - for you and for the pet! It's a form of social interaction with no pressure to meet anyone's expectations!

Look at the stars and the moon. It can be a very humbling experience to lay on a blanket with your hands behind your head and gaze up into the night sky. It's more than humbling; it's downright beautiful and relaxing!Just the other night, my grandson and I got a blanket out and lay in the yard looking at the moon going behind the clouds and gazing at the stars. He's only three, so it's a fascinating experience for him, but looking at the sky through his eyes made it even more fascinating for me. I could feel all my worries melting away as we chatted about the astronauts that get to see the stars close up and how big the universe is while we remain so small. When you look at the vastness of the sky,you realize that our problems are small compared to that. I also get great comfort from seeing that one bright star in the sky that is always above my house. When my best friend's mother died, we got out of the car after coming from her visitation and my friend's five-year old and I stopped to star gaze. She pointed out one particular star and said "That's my grandma. She's our guardian angel now." Every time I see that star, I know Cheryl's there and she'll help get me through anything!

Treat yourself to some comfort food. But be careful or over-eating could become your big stressor. Enjoy in moderation and make yourself feel better. I love mashed potatoes and gravy and macaroni and cheese. Those are my comfort foods. But I make sure that I don't overdo it. I give myself just enough to bring on that calming feeling.

Swing. Remember the feeling of sitting inside that little piece of leather on the playground as you swayback and forth and feel the wind whipping through you hair? Do that! If you don't have a swing in your yard,go to a playground and remember to pump your legs back and forth to see how high you can go. It's liberating!

Take a candle lit bubble bath. Even you guys out there can benefit from a warm bath bathed in the soft glow of candlelight. Lay your head back, feel the bubbles and the warm water, and let your stress go right down the drain when you pull the plug!

Phew! There you have twenty-seven ways to relax and de-stress! You can come up with your own ways as well! The key, really, is to find something that makes you feel better when you are overwhelmed and practice that method faithfully. You'll be a healthier person overall.Hopefully you can remember to apply these the next time you feel stressed out.

Office Stress Relief - All In The Family
By Truby Johnson
Finally you made it through all the rush hour traffic just to start your second job at home. By now your head is aching and you're just about to scream, when suddenly, your husband walks in and ask, "what's for dinner?" Have you ever experienced anything like this? I'm sure you have. In this article we want to talk about office stress relief and how you can avoid it.

You can start with preparing your clothes the night before, that way you wouldn't have to deal with them the next morning. This act alone will save you some valuable time; That way, you can take your time with your morning prayer, make-up, brushing your hair, brushing your teeth, and etc.

Now you have time to eat a good breakfast while you relax and meditate for a few minutes. Then it's time for the morning commute to work, but there's no hurry; you prepared your clothes the night before which allowed you twenty to thirty extra minutes. Now you arrived at work with a few minutes to spare.

Usually by this time you'd be already stressed out rushing to greet the time clock, but today you are early and walking to clock in rather than running. So far so good. Your day is just beginning but you're not concerned about it because for some reason you feel much better today than usual.

Today you are not about to sit at your desk during your lunch break. No matter how much work needs to be done, you're taking some time away from the work environment. Try walking to the cafeteria for a chef's salad or car pool to a restaurant, or grab your lunch bag and go sit under a tree. The main idea is to get away from the work environment for a while.

After lunch you noticed a refresh of energy and you're getting much more done than you could have imagined. Before you realize, it's time to go home and you have much more energy today than usual. You also noticed that you didn't experience any office stress today! For some reason you're not as tired either. You feel great!

Driving home today wasn't as hectic for some reason. You walk inside humming your favorite song and begin to prepare the family dinner, when suddenly, your husband walks in and ask, "what's for dinner?" But before he realize, the aroma is all over the house and he looks at you with love and excitement in his eyes.

In conclusion, if you are looking for some office stress relief don't wait until you get to work. You can organize your time much better which could bring you relief almost overnight. Relief For Stress - Conquering Stress For Good
By Truby Johnson
How many times have you read the newspaper or heard on the news about some unbelievable shooting that took place in a quite neighborhood? Usually someone is interviewed and says something like this: " I just can't believe this! Nothing like this ever happens in this neighborhood." For some reason people are always shocked when this happens even though things just like this happens almost everyday in this Nation. In this article we want to talk about finding some relief for stress and how to conquer stress once and for all.

Anxiety

This word literally means a state of being uneasy, apprehensive, or worried about what may happen; concern about a possible future event. Can you see how much this relates to the average person at some point or another? The key word here is may. We sometime worry ourselves about something that may not even happen. This is the first thing we do that we should be able to control.

Depression

This comes from the root word depress which means to press down or pull down; to lower in spirits. Can you imagine feeling this way? This is what causes stress and all the emotions that comes with it. Depression is what literally fuel these emotions which leads to stress. When people start feeling this way along with uneasiness, which is physical or mental discomfort, there's no telling what will happen.

These emotions can start simply by the lost of a job; or the recent lost of a love one. People are experiencing these everyday somewhere. Nowadays, this is happening all around us, and yes in every neighborhood. This should no longer be a shock to any of us anymore. But everybody doesn't deal with situations the same.

Relief for stress

Most of us know that exercising is great for relieving stress. However, must of us claim that we do not have enough time in the day to exercise. We have become so materialistic until we need to work all the time just to keep up with the jones, whoever they are. Even if you have time for an evening walk will be great combating stress.

Some people often fine that regularly attending Church services have been a type of relief of stress. Remember that depression and stress are close related, and part of depression is a lower in spirits. This is very easy to see how attending church or other gatherings could fight off stress as well as depression.

Conquering stress

Before stress can be conquered it first must be controlled. This is why my opinion on using drugs liberally isn't the answer to conquering stress. You may slow down some symptoms of stress but one must get to the very root of the matter and that is emotions, nightmares, life's changes and uncertainties. This is why increasing happiness is not the answer. That will only put a bandage on the problem and not actually conquer it.

In conclusion relief for stress isn't necessarily using drugs. This can actually do more harm than good for you. Remember, if you want to conquer stress, you've got to get to the root and not just treat the symptoms putting a bandage on the problem. Knowing how to start and end each day will put you on the road to conquering stress for good.

If you are looking for Relief For Stress and don't want to take drugs or experience any side effects visit us today and Conquer Stress for good.

5 Fast Breaks to Relieve Stress
By Faylee James
Most of us have a certain amount of stress in our lives everyday. For the times that it increases and causes harm to our own well being or the well being of the people we love, try a couple of these.

[1] Buy yourself a bunch of colorful flowers. Go to the flower shop and take your time in choosing the right one. Just the time spent in the choosing of the flowers will lower your blood pressure and calm your chain of thought.

[2] Need more time for your mind to settle and your body to relax. Go to a movie matinee or an off-off-off broadway theater. Make it something silly, light or romantic. Cry for the hero as he looses his girl, then cheer when she finds him again. Use all those pent up emotions. You will come out relieved and calmer.

[3] Pretend you are new in town and go see the new park by the lake. Walk it's winding paths, feed a few ducks, stop and talk to the people fishing. Smile at the walkers and ground keepers. Do a few minutes of stretch exercises. Let your body know you are thinking about it.

[4] Move Baby Move. Dust off the old record player [showing my age here], put on the fastest song you know and move to the music. Lift your arms, click those heels and dance, dance, dance. You do not have to be a great dancer to move your body to the rhythm, just move. Exercise releases endorphins, which make us feel better. Soon you will be giggling and laughing, ready to face the world.

[5] Go to a hotel for the night. Let someone else make the bed, cook and wash the dishes. Cozy down into the pillows with a good book or watch an old Marx Brothers black and white movie on the cable channel. Come morning you will be ready to sparkle and shine again.
