6 Tips Lolos Lowongan Kerja Bagi Pemimpin

Anda tahu apa efeknya?

Flipping and Fixing Houses for High Return on Investment Capital

Investors love to make a high return on their money. That's why so many millionaires invest in real estate. You can leverage your money using other peoples' money when you finance real estate.

Many real estate investors make $5,000 to $10,000 or more by flipping houses. These investors buy a home from a distressed seller and resell it quickly for a profit. Just because a seller has serious problems like a pending foreclosure or divorce doesn't mean the house is a fixer. Many distressed sellers offer prime houses in perfect condition discounted for a quick sale. Distressed sellers jump at the chance to get out from under their overwhelming problems with an offer to close in ten days. To purchase a home quickly, you need to be prepared to offer cash or a have secure loan in place with a reliable mortgage lender.

Other real estate investors prefer to buy fixers from distressed sellers. Distressed fixers present the best bargains to make the highest return on your money. For instance, if you put 5% down on a $200,000 home, spend $5,000 fixing the house up, and another $3,000 in payments, your cash investment totals $18,000. If you sell the home for a $70,000 profit like many rehabbers, you can see that your return on your investment of $18,000 for two months exceeds most other types of investments. This investment plan assumes that you have the knowledge and skills, time to work on your fixer, and that you sell the house as soon as its finished to a qualified buyer. Home improvement centers help you with how-to classes, brochures, and advice. You need to give up your free time--TV, parties, leisure activities and work on your fixer. You could hire workers, but contractors and laborers work slowly and eat up your profits.

The last part of the equation, selling your house quickly to a qualified buyer means you need to do your homework. Many investors seek free help from a loan officer to price the house right and to qualify their buyers. These investors earn the sales commission by selling their houses by owner. The most important issue, how you fix up your house, ensures that you quickly attract a buyer willing to pay top dollar for your transformed property. Investors using Design Psychology strategies for fixing houses sell their homes, for more than the asking price, three hours after putting the yard sign out.

Whether you want to make money investing in real estate by flipping or fixing houses, you need to understand your market. To get started in your real estate business, go house shopping. You'll soon learn how to pick up a flip or a fixer and be on your way to making a high return on your money. ***

Success at Work

It's hard to believe that there are people in today's workforce who don't know how to use a computer. In today's society, being computer illiterate is equivalent to being functionally illiterate. Obviously no one reading this article is computer illiterate, but maybe you know someone who thinks they can avoid computers and still be successful at work. Let me tell you a story about a good friend of mine back when I worked at Motorola. The company moved the manufacturing of automobile alternators offshore, resulting in his transfer to my department. Although he had about 20 years with the company, this was to be his last stop before being booted out the door.

He was assigned to me as an Electronics Technician, and the first assignment that I gave him was to lay out a small printed circuit (pc) board. It was a tiny circuit for a tester, so computer drafting was not required. He could just sketch it out on paper. After several days, he came back to me explaining that he didn't have the technical ability to lay out a pc board. An Electronics Technician that couldn't lay out a simple pc board? Don't all Electronics Technicians make little hobby circuits at home? At least all the technicians I knew did.

I explained that he needed to draw outlines of the components and then use the schematic to draw lines between the components connections. Then, maybe rearrange the components if that would result in fewer crossing paths. I also explained something much more profound, how to deal with the complexity of technology. Many people, when they come into contact with technology, consider themselves too stupid to deal with it. Technology is only for geniuses and geeks. Sometimes technology is too complex, but it's not because people are stupid, it's because the technology is poorly designed.

For example, take software, like a graphics program, spreadsheet or database. Is the intended user of the software a computer programmer, or an average person? These applications are intended for use by an average person. If an application is too complex for the average person, the application is at fault - not the user. Why are most computers and software applications too complex for the average person? Because they are designed by programmers who are under pressure to get the product out the door. Does the application have simple, easy-to-use help files? Software developers consider help files even less important than application usability.

- The bottom line is, people are not stupid - computers and software applications ARE too complex.

In today's world, where workers are required to use computers and technology, how can they deal with the complexity? Back to the story about my friend at Motorola.

After receiving my instructions, he successfully completed the pc board layout. I then introduced him to Computer Automated Engineering (CAE). I showed him how to drag electronic components from a library, use the mouse to draw circuit paths, make the computer simulate the function of the circuit, and then make the computer layout a pc board for the circuit.

He was able to easily master complex technology because he now understood that he wasn't stupid. Computers ARE complex. When he needed help, he studied the help files or asked someone for help. Eventually, his CAE skills became known and I lost him to another manager. "His last stop before being booted out the door?" I don't think so. There's no way Motorola is going to let this valuable employee get away. Even though it's the programmers fault that computers and software are too complex, that doesn't relieve you of all responsibility. You must make an effort. Like my friend at Motorola, you must study the help files or ask someone for help when you need it. Not only must you study the help files, but you must also be willing to "try things".

Many people fear that if they click on the wrong thing, the computer will blow up and they will be blamed for it. A properly designed software application prevents the user from making a fatal mistake, either by making it impossible, or by providing a warning message. A properly designed application lets the user "back out of" or reverse any action. One of the best ways to learn is to "try things". If the computer blow ups because you made a mistake, you're using improperly designed software. When you're learning how to perform a function with a computer, if you expect you may need to perform that same function again, take notes. No one will think you're stupid if you take notes. But if you keep asking over and over again how to perform the same function, they will think you're too stupid to take notes.

When I worked at Motorola, I used a technique called "strokes" to make symbols appear and move around the computer screen like magic. Some people called me the "Electronic God". How did I get so good? I tried things. I failed. I studied. I tried again. I understood that technology IS complex. So what? In today's society, being computer illiterate is equivalent to being functionally illiterate. Make the effort to study the help files and to "try things". Don't get discouraged or blame yourself if you don't succeed on the first try. The computer won't blow up if you make a mistake. You can't be successful at work if you fail to embrace computers and technology. ***

Menghadapi Rasa Takut Gagal dan Tidak Percaya Diri

Menghadapi Rasa Takut Gagal dan Tidak Percaya Diri
Bapak Pengasuh Yth.,

Terima kasih. (Redaksi).

CV / Resumes Writing Tips for Professionals

Conducting a job search is like marketing and selling a product -- with YOU as the product. The best way to market yourself is to go through this sales sequence. In sales you have the "Features and Benefits" of the service or product provided. When selling yourself these can be communicated as your "Skills and Achievements".

Your abilities can be overlooked and difficult to understand especially if you are coming from a different background. The recruiter or employer may feel that the language used or "buzz words" do not match. If the recruiter is forced to decipher too much information or jargon, he or she may be unable to see the experience they seek. With a little innovation, and change in CV style, you will effectively position yourself as a worthy candidate and make the transition to another job or job area.

The first step for the transition is for you, the applicant to understand your skills and abilities, and how those abilities relate to your intended job target / business or industry. These can be indexed on the front page of the CV for IMPACT, in business they can be anything from Leadership, Human Resources, to Policy-making and Strategic Planning. Everyone's talking about "key words and key skills" in all professions not only in business. If you possess plenty of experience and have attained a number of achievements you should start thinking about writing an "ABCV".

The targeting and visual presentation of your skills and achievement based CV is critical. Readers should be immediately impressed with the appearance, and the way your CV communicates the "value" you can bring to the vacancy. Does Your Resume Lack Vision?

You re just getting over the shock of having become unemployed. You know you need to begin a job search, but you may not know the best way to proceed, or where to start. More than likely, you will dust off your old resume and modify it to include your most recent job experience. Most people search the classifieds and Internet job sites for job openings matching their qualifications. They then submit their resumes to these postings. You will probably do the same with your modified resume.

If you follow this routine, you will very likely experience a long and frustrating job search. At the end of this exhausting journey, you will find yourself in a job that doesn t truly capitalize on your unique gifts or talents, nor compensates you according to your worth. Most job seekers go through this. The job market is especially lean for higher paying positions, yet flooded with good candidates. Your competition is huge and not about to go away. In this climate, mediocrity will not bring you success. You must take a different path. The best place to start is with a vision.

What is your vision for yourself? Imagine some of the unique and fulfilling qualities your next job can have. What unique gifts and talents can you bring to the table that set you apart from the crowd and make this next job all the more enjoyable? Write all this down. You are learning how to write a resume that will yield very positive results.

This is truly an opportunity for you to look at your career from a fresh perspective. By translating your vision and differentiating qualities into a new resume, you are giving yourself an opportunity very few job seekers experience. Your resume will spark the interest and grab the attention of the employer reading it. You will gain immeasurably as you stand head and shoulders above your competition, get called for the right interviews and receive financially healthy offers.

A successful job search starts with a powerful vision for yourself and your career, and a strong, well-written resume that reflects that vision. Be creative with this. Hold yourself to no boundaries. Allow your imagination to soar. Your efforts will pay off handsomely. ***

Kelola Karir Anda Sejak Sekarang!

Kelola Karir Anda Sejak Sekarang!

Bekal Sebelum Protes

Hadapi Wawancara Lewat Telepon

Bila responnya dingin-dingin saja, inilah isyarat Anda tak sukses.***

Encouragement--Heart At Work

Encouragement can have a very powerful effect on bosses and co-workers. The literal meaning of the word, encourage, is to put heart into. When this definition is applied to work situations, it suggests:

- Stirring, inspiring and motivating bosses and co-workers with hope, courage and confidence.
- Giving team members a vote of confidence.
- Boosting morale by expressing approval and offering support to others in the office.
- Lifting people up and moving them to do the things they need to do to achieve company and career objectives.
- Empowering direct reports and peers to grow professionally and reach their full potential.
- Stimulating cooperation and collaboration between work units, departments or the company as a whole.

Encouragement & Failure
Everyone needs encouragement. Bosses and co-workers alike face difficult situations and make mistakes or fail on a daily basis. They need help to cope with disappointment, fear, doubt and uncertainty. It has been said, A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success (Anonymous).

Even if people act tough as if they are successfully handling the overwhelming emotions that accompany a mistake, don t believe it! Somewhere deep inside, they are awash in despair with intense feelings of fear about having made yet another blunder or slip-up. What they desperately need is someone like you to come alongside them and encourage them for trying even in the face of failure someone who really cares about them who accepts and acknowledges them by helping to keep their self-esteem intact in spite of the failure.

Put Heart into Others at Work
Encouragement is one of the easiest yet greatest work tools available to boost a boss or co-worker s self-esteem. When we put heart into others at work, we lead them to achieve greater things than they ever thought possible. Here are 10 tips to help you be an On-the-Job Encourager:

1. Show others at work that you care! Exert a positive influence on their work lives by giving them encouragement just because
2. Deliberately look for small ways to encourage others verbally, in writing or through your own behavior towards them.
3. Act as a cheerleader or a fan club member for a co-worker or boss. Tell them, I know you can do this
4. Reassure team members after a disappointment or setback.
5. Prompt your direct reports and peers to try new things or pursue new opportunities.
6. Offer to help co-workers recover from a disappointment or failure. Give them a shoulder to cry upon when appropriate.
7. Value and accept your co-workers as they are and don t put conditions on accepting them.
8. Help others in the office to believe in themselves. Point out their positive character traits and how these can lead to success in the future.
9. Recognize the efforts and improvements co-workers make especially after a mistake.
10. Show appreciation for the contributions of every team member in your office.

Select someone you can put heart into at work today! Make an effort to be an On-the-Job Encourager! ***

Antiques - Business Idea of the Month

Antique dealing is always a friendly business, with endless opportunities to learn something new, great prospects and always that golden dream of hitting the jackpot. This month I will look at the structure of the antiques game, and give some advice on the smarter ways to set up.

Every city and most towns in the land, have established traders mostly making quite a decent living in the antiques business. The Skills Required In order to know what any given object is worth to a dealer, or a private collector, you need very good knowledge of that area, and the ability to check out the details before you buy.

Many dealers develop an "eye" for quality and sales appea, and buy all kinds of goods, thriving on variety. This can be a big disadvantage. In my view, specializing always pays off in the long run. Firstly, you can get a reputation as an expert in just a few years, and secondly, you can "plug in" to your own little network of suppliers, dealers, collectors and speciality auctions. Thirdly, you will quickly learn where to go for research.

The largest sectors of the trade, deal in furniture, fine art (paintings and prints) and ceramics (pottery and porcelain). Competition is fierce, and you really must know your stuff if you want to avoid buying stock which nobody else wants, for some good but unobvious reason. Other smaller sectors include the horologists (clocks and watches), silverware dealers, jewellers, glassware dealers and the sale of early weapons, armour or guns. In recent years, oriental carpets have had a great revival, and have joined the ranks of firmly established specialities.

Then there are the mini-specialities, all of them competitive areas in their own right: dolls and nursery furnishings; pipes and smokers' requisites; old postcards and greetings cards; buttons; small wooden articles of every description, old mechanical items from musical boxes to balance scales; lace and early clothing. War items are also in great demand.

WINNERS AND LOSERS The antique trade is run on very informal lines but it's organized into armies, in which all the dealers are highly independent mercenaries. Here are some guidelines to help you use the system:

COLLECTOR/DEALERS
All dealers tend to hoard some of their best finds, but the dedicated collectors are compulsively hooked into a particular area. They usually work from home, buying their stocks by placing small ads in local papers, and attending house clearance sales, or auction rooms.

A collector/dealer will be very tight with his or her money, and know the precise value of anything they want to buy. If you get to know local characters and seriously want to sell items to them, you need to equip yourself with as many good sale room catalogues as possible, so you know the value of everything you sell to them.

EXHIBITORS
Other dealers plan their year's trading around the top-class antiques fairs and tradeshows. The more valuable their stock, the fewer sales they need to make in a year to make a good profit. Some run shops which only open one or two days a week. Finding top-quality stock is very time-consuming, so they all depend to some extent on runners (see below).

ANTIQUE SHOPS
In the larger towns there's a large array of shop-based businesses. But remember, you're talking about larger overheads, for the shop, heating, lighting, security, theft and fire insurance and an assistant to hold the fort while you're away on buying expeditions. For this reason I do not recommend you to rush into shop premises until you've had a few years' thorough grounding, but it is an attractive option for future expansion.

MARKET TRADERS
There are a great many indoor markets opening up, and can be very prestigious affairs indeed. Other mixed markets (indoor and outdoor stalls) may look very cheerful and picturesque, but the best dealers there, are equal to anyone in the country. Easier to set up, usually with a local licence.

Everyone in the antiques business is very careful about buying from strangers because of the sheer volume of stolen goods on the market. When you're buying you must be prepared to insist on a name, address, some form of identification and a signed declaration to the effect that the item is the seller's property. If you want to sell to shops and stall-holders you must be prepared to give this information as a matter of course.

RUNNERS
These are agents, who on behalf of shop owners, go out buying on their behalf. The knack of success is to buy stock at very competitive prices so that the dealers will give you a good profit buying at your "trade price", and still make a good profit themselves. One good way to start up is to combine dealing from home with "running", but only if you're prepared to be always out on the road hunting. Buying is definitely the hardest area of the antiques business, and the runners thrive on the challenge. They build up a small network of dealers and get to know their tastes intimately

RESTORERS
The entire antiques trade relies crucially on skilled craftsmen and women to repair and restore items, either at public request, or to enhance the value of recently acquired stock. There are some very good businesses around based on picture restoration, clock or porcelain repair etc. In the furniture trade alone there are polishers, veneerers, turners, joiners, rush and cane workers, and carvers.

WAYS TO START UP
You can set yourself up as a dealer working from home, and go on to be a runner for other dealers. So long as you're careful to read up on the stocks you handle, and allow for all your travelling expenses, there's a good living to be made. Always plough back your profits into better and larger stocks.

Restoration is another good way to acquire knowledge, and to cater for a strong market demand. For the young it can be a good stepping-stone to becoming a successful specialist dealer. For the over50s it will provide a good standard of living, but not a business you can sell off on retirement, except to people you've trained or other restorers with the same skills.

There is a third way, and that is to work as an assistant to an established dealer with a shop. You don't get much pay, but you have great opportunities to learn the trade, and develop your own selling style with the customers. Dealers won't allow assistants to buy on their behalf, but you may have a chance to go alone to the auction rooms, to view items and report back, or you may be given research work to do in the local library. After a period of time, you can normally arrange to sell some of your own stock in the shop, and build up your own sales until you are ready to go it alone.

At this stage, I have not talked about the auction houses online, but they can be another avenue, where you can start up small, and learn the trade, before moving onto bigger things. ***

KOMUNIKASI: Strategi Gunakan Referensi

Gunakan Referensi

3. Persiapan.
Jangan pernah ditolak lagi.

Embellished Resumes - A Real Problem

Take the jobseeker in Alabama who, knowing that his IQ was far above average and that in the course of his life had learned valuable skills allowing him to function at a very high level, embellished his resume by adding a doctorate that he had never earned. And knowing that because he had never graduated from college or earned a degree he was forever kept away from the best jobs and the highest salary.

So it seemed only a little white lie to add Phd., to the academic credentials on his resume. After all he could talk the talk and walk the walk in his defense industry specialty. The gentleman was so wrong in any high security position a background check will be a priority and he, of course, did not survive his. Now, he may have had a good job for a short time, but because of this indiscretion, could be forever ruined in that industry. Fortunately for him, his employer did recognize his value and decided to keep him on and send him to school. This story has a happy ending but it is certainly the exception rather than the rule.

The truth is, lying on your resume is just plain stupid, and ranks right up there with the other 10 most stupid things people do in their lifetimes. In fact, lying at any time is the single act that gets most people in the most trouble - trouble in work, in relationships, trouble everywhere. If you have weaknesses in your work history, references, or credentials before you lie about it consider that a skilled resume development specialist can assist you in highlighting what you can do, have done, and will do well for an employer. That same specialist can assist you in ways to overcome other weaknesses on your resume such as age and termination.

All employers are looking for the right person to solve a particular problem. Your job is to convince that employer that you are the right person most employers know that there are very skilled job seekers out there, not all of them with impeccable credentials, and will be willing to overlook certain weaknesses if everything else is in place. I had the opportunity to work several years ago with an attorney who was let go from a very high-level state government position because a lie he had told on his application 20 years prior had surfaced. None of us want that kind of skeleton to come back and cost us our jobs.

A job application is a document that may never go away, they can remain on a persons record the entire length of their work life. Make sure that you understand how to fill them out properly. Once again a skilled career specialist can assist you in answering questions on an application in the most positive light without dredging up old issues that you may not want to deal with today. Employers will almost always hold an employee responsible for entries on an application regardless of the circumstances.

The bottom line is don t lie about your ability, background or credentials, certainly paint the best possible picture of yourself, but don t go over the line it just isn t worth it.

Kiat Berkomunikasi Jitu

Kiat Berkomunikasi Jitu

How Much Can You Earn, Working As A Proofreader?

Thinking of a career as a proofreader? Then you will most likely want to know about salaries. Are you hoping to hear that you will make thousands and thousands of dollars a month in this field? It is very possible that you will barely make a few hundred when you are first starting out.

There is no guarantee of a paycheck in this field. If you do not provide quality work, you probably will not have many clients returning for repeat work. Proofreading as a career is hard, but when you get in the door, you may do fairly well. Proof reader salaries are not glamorous, but they can be fairly good. To find out about salaries, you can look at any of the websites that offer postings for this line of work. It can be said that proofreader salaries are among the best in the writing field, but they are not going to make anyone a millionaire. In fact, the only way to know for sure what you will make is to get a job in the field. There are a couple things that can help you predict the level of qualifications that you have though.

First, proofreading salaries are based on qualifications. Have you been to school? Do you have a degree? They are based on experience as well. Have you done any writing or editing in the past?

Freelance individuals may make slightly more than those who work for a company, but they also have to find their own work which can prove to be difficult. Being an established proofreader can offer many rewards though, down the line. In this case, salaries are fairly good.

What also helps to make this career quite attractive is the wide range of interesting clients and work that can be found. The fact that many proofreaders and editors work from home can be an attractive feature. Many proofreaders see this as compensation for the limited salaries that they are able to command. ***

Manfaat Internet Dalam Mencari Lowongan Kerja

Manfaat Internet Dalam Mencari Lowongan Kerja

Hanya membutuhkan waktu selama 4 tahun. (sumber: buku “Menggunakan Internet”, Jack Febrian, Penerbit Informatika – Bandung).

Road Warrior

I ve got this friend; we ll call him Bob, because that s his name. He works for a global company with offices all over the world. They sent him to Japan a few years ago so that he could be closer to his accounts. They sent wife and family with him, are spending all kinds of money to keep them here, and then proceeded to put Bob on the road (or in the air, in reality).

Bob is a professional road warrior. He gets home a couple of weekends a month, greets his boys, asks a few questions, and they proceed to laugh at him and say something like: That was stupid! If you actually lived in Japan, you might know the answer to that. Bob is not amused. But Bob knows they are right. Technically, he spends more time in Thailand and China that he does Japan. And I suspect that he has gotten more sleep in a business class seat every month than he has in his spacious apartment in Japan. Mrs. Bob is not amused.

Given the circumstances, the Bob s have learned to adjust. Bob makes more money than he ever has in his life. Mrs. Bob spends more money than she has ever has. And the little Bob s are in a great school, and get anything they want. The Bob Family appears to be perfectly normal because many of their peers have the same exact story.

Bob has learned some tricks of the trade and even wrote them down for a guy who was about to take on a similar job in Australia (which in reality means all of Asia).

Here are a few to entertain you:
Buy a good back pack and leave the brief case at home- A brief case is easier to steal or lose in a foreign country, plus it takes up one hand. Put the backpack on your shoulder and that leaves the traveler s hands free for pulling a suitcase, and carrying another item.

Never exchange foreign currency-it takes too much time, you always lose money, and you will be coming to that country soon anyway. Bob keeps five or six envelopes in his backpack that he rotates through his wallet depending on his travel plans. Get an iPod- if you are going to spend 80% away from your home, might as well bring your entire music collection with you. In Bob s case, he has a different play list for every trip. He says that his reason for buying an iPod came home to him in Thailand after sitting in a cab for fifteen minutes with a driver who liked weird string music with chimes. Never again Bob proclaimed.

Buy some melatonin- Bob is not a doctor, but he thinks like one. He will give you a prescription based on your height, weight and number of time zones you will be crossing in a day. He says he sleeps like a baby and never feels jet lag. Other road warriors who consider him a genius have adopted his methods. Keep all of your computer gear organized for the trip you are making- this is real important since the only way you communicate with your family and your work is by email and instant messenger. You should know how to hook up every phone line, wireless modem and power cord for the country you are in. Bob offended Mrs. Bob on their anniversary when he didn t get his computer hooked up in time for some late night dirty talk by instant messenger.

That brings me to his last advice to the guy about to take a new job:

Keep pictures of wife and family updated regularly with a digital camera (that may be the only way you see them this week)- this is a sad commentary on the life of a road warrior. This is not a normal existence by any stretch of the word, and yet many people lead lives like this across the world. Will Bob survive his job? Probably. He figures he can put up with a lot of hassle for the money he s making (though he confesses that he plans to retire and do something else by the time he s 50). Will Family Bob survive? Probably.

They have got a lot of grit and really don t want to go back to the picket fence world of Pennsylvania. Has their quality of life suffered? Bob, answered, What quality of life? ***

Agar Mereka Kenal Anda

Agar Mereka Kenal

Kontak Mereka Secara Pribadi

Buat Hubungan Anda Menjadi Mengesankan
Kenapa tidak memberikan hubungan mengesankan dengan mereka. Jika memungkinkan, kontak mereka melalui perangkat telekomunikasi seperti handphone, telpon kantor, dll. Tanamkan siapa diri anda kepada mereka. Buatlah hubungan anda mengesankan dengan mereka. Sehingga mereka melihat potensi anda.

Bodyguard Jobs

The Bodyguard industry is quite a large industry, making the Bodyguard industry an attractive industry in which to find a job. Being such a large industry, the Bodyguard industry is less competitive than other job industries and offers a range of jobs. Although the Bodyguard industry is less competitive than other job industries, you are still required to meet certain job criteria, prior to working as a Bodyguard. Usually, you are required to attend a Bodyguard training course, prior to working as a Bodyguard.

Most Bodyguard Training courses are designed to provide you with basic first aid training, self-defence techniques and sometimes weapons training. Although not all Bodyguard jobs require that you carry a weapon, there are some Bodyguard jobs that do. A person with Military training, or Martial arts training, is usually highly regarded in the Bodyguard industry, as their skills are often needed in certain Bodyguard positions. Although you are not likely to ever have to physically grapple with a person, there is the possibility that it can occur, so knowledge of self-defence techniques are important.

There are many situations in everyday society that require a Bodyguard. For example, many film and music stars often hire Bodyguards to protect them from the possibility of kidnapping, or from the possibility of being attacked by a crazy fan. There are also less glamorous Bodyguard positions, such as protecting a bank, shopping mall, or private properties at night. Often these Bodyguard positions require you to be on your own, hence the need for self-defence skills.

As a Bodyguard, you also have the responsibility of protecting other people, which is why you will often be required to have a first aid certificate. In the event of a shooting incident, or other form of injury, you will need to know how to help an injured person, while ambulance officers arrive. As you can see, being a Bodyguard is much more than just standing around in a uniform, it requires a level of skill, confidence and professionalism. However, being a Bodyguard also requires you to be fit.

Fitness plays an important role in being a Bodyguard, as you may be required to run after someone, or may need to apprehend someone who is dangerous. Being fit will ensure that you will be stronger than you opponent and thus will be capable of apprehending them. Although Bodyguards do not have the same legal powers of the police force, they play an important role as a supportive partner in conjunction with the police force. Often, a Bodyguard is the first at a crime scene and is often the person who contacts the police.

Bodyguards play an important role in society, making sure that everyone can live in a safe and comfortable fashion. The often silent, role of a Bodyguard is essential in preventing, kidnappings, bank robberies, public brawls and many other types of incidents.***
