Office Stress Relievers For the Stressed Out Souls at Work
By Amy Twain
For those of us mostly stuck in the office working from 9-5, office stress is inevitable-may it be because of super tight deadlines or high-pressured tasks. Not to worry now, since we got some easy and effortless ways of giving you some of the office stress relievers and no need to leave your desk behind. Well for one, you could sit with a straight back and let your shoulders roll forward and in a slow pace and then backward for 5-7 times each. After that, you can now move those wrists in a spherical motion for like 30 seconds. Next, breathe in deeply for about 3 seconds and do this again for 5 times.
Rub your palms together rapidly when you feel that your eyes are getting tired. Now you could shut your eyes and lay those palms over them. You can now feel the heat away from those palms alleviating your eyes. Another good and effective way of alleviating office stress is through the aid of Aromatherapy. This one's already a tried-and-tested formula of relieving office stress. Specifically, you can choose one in lavender scent--since lavender is known for its soothing and relaxing effects. You could choose to utilize an air freshener inside your office, or in your cubicles with this scent. Also, try putting a drop of lavender in your hankies so that wherever you go, the aroma of this soothing scent stays with you.
Moreover, if you already knew beforehand that you would be bombarded by very bad traffic on your way home, be armed and ready by carrying with you some meditative audio books or fave music. Bear in mind that you don't want to go home still bringing with you your office stress at the end of the working day. Then, why not commencing on your to-do lists for tomorrow's agenda so you will gain control of your day and you would have fewer tasks to do for tomorrow, since it's already mapped out in advance. In addition, clean up your work station and keep your files in proper order for easy access.
Of course, you may have heard of the old and overused adage that says laughter is the best medicine. And one of the most effective, if not the best stress buster is---you guessed it right! Laughter, no less. If you want to do away with office stress the easy way and without having to spend a single penny, then simply laugh you heart away! It can be as simple as exchanging hilarious and humorous anecdotes with your office mates and friends, or merely buying those stress relief toys and making use of stress balls. Then, you can make use of your break time or coffee breaks by participating in fun stress-free online games to help you de-stress and breathe.
Still, aside from these tips above, exercise still works wonders for any stressed-out individuals. It lessens anxiety and it has good benefits health-wise. Some of the best exercises to try are swimming, brisk walking, cycling, or jogging.

Anxiety Solutions - 10 Tried and True Tips For Work at Home Stress Relief
By Jan Ferrante
Anxiety really can suck the joy out of living and ruin even the good things in your life.
The sad thing is that much of it is unnecessary and even self induced.
Anxiety can be no more than a state of mind.
That's good news, it means it doesn't have to be this way.
WORKING AT HOME ISN'T ALL FUN AND GAMES
Starting and running your own business at home can cause a lot of stress and anxiety.
Things don't always go as planned.
Sometimes you are learning as you go.
It's hard to keep up.
Although life around you may seem stressful, your reaction is totally up to you.
When I find anxiety raining on my parade, here's what I do.
Step Back: Look at the big picture. In the grand scheme of things it's usually not so bad.
Don't Take It So Seriously: Sometimes you can laugh, or you can cry. Laughing is a lot more fun.
Have a Good Cry and Move On: Sometimes laughing just isn't an option. In that case, let it all out. Rant. Cry. Talk to yourself. Then take a deep breath and move on.
Let It Go: Sometimes I just have to think, I'm doing the best I can and that's the best I can do and let it go.
Put It In Perspective: Remember that most likely, none of this will matter in 100 years.
Life Has An Expiry Date: That sounds stressful! But it's a great reminder to make the best of it while you can. When your time comes, I can almost guarantee that you will wish you hadn't wasted your time worrying.
Remember F.E.A.R.: I love the acronym for fear - false expectations appearing real. It's a great reality check.
The Great Outdoors: There is nothing like pondering all of these suggestions with a nice walk outdoors. Take the scenic route. Connect with nature and center yourself. Remember that you are just a tiny speck within a grand universe. And so are your problems.
They'll Be Gone Tomorrow: Many times the things that we worry about work themselves out and are long forgotten by tomorrow. Why not forget about them today?
Take Some Time Off: Sometimes you may be working too hard. When I get over tired, my stress level goes through the roof. I get cranky! Cranky is not just for kids. If you find small things stressing you out, take a break and get some rest.
Next time anxiety is stressing you out, try a few of these techniques.
Some days, it might take all 10!
And now I would like to invite you to claim your free instant access to The 10 Commandments of Working At Home, a printable worksheet that you can use daily to help reduce your work at home stress and anxiety.

3 Tips For a Healthy Mind From a Pyschotherapist - Stress Coping
By Peter James Field
Every one of us experiences feelings of stress and anxiety from time to time. It just seems to be factored into the business of being alive. As we go through life, we naturally seem to adjust to a reasonable amount of stress and anxiety and we just get on with things. It's when stress and anxiety become unmanageable, when they overwhelm us, threatening to bring things to a grinding halt that something needs to be done about them. But there is really no necessity to wait for this to happen. There are some simple things we can do to manage our lives better and make a difference to our mood and our outlook.
Here are 3 important and helpful things that anyone can do.
1. Accept Yourself
When we are at war on the inside, then very little goes well on the outside. After all, we see things not as they are, but as we are. As we journey through life, it's so easy to become self-critical and to beat ourselves up for past mistakes and shortcomings. But what, in fact, is the real value of doing this? Does it make us better human beings?
Of course not.
But sometimes, even though we know this, we just don't find it easy to come to terms with and to accept who we are. The truth is that until we have accomplished some degree of self-acceptance, then we can easily find ourselves in a state of anxiety and stress. Inside each of us there is a positive and good human being. Why not try a gentler, kinder approach to yourself?
Remind yourself of all your positive qualities. Focus on what you have, not on what you do not have. You might be surprised at how much you have going for you.
2. Talk About It
Don't be afraid to talk to someone about what you're going through and what you're feeling. Choose a good friend or trusted family member and sit down for a chat. If you really cannot think of anyone and you're feeling desperate then the Samaritans are a wonderful source of support. There really is little point in running over the same things time and time again if you are not prepared to actually do something about those things.
There is a saying in therapy circles: 'If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always got'.
As you talk things over, try your best to see what needs to be changed in order for things to be different. A good friend, therapist or counselor can be truly helpful in getting things back into perspective so that you can move on past the anxiety and stress.
3. Put Yourself First
Try something new.
Yes, perhaps it does feel like everyone wants a piece of you. But so do you. And unless you invest time in yourself then you won't have much to give to anyone else. Maybe it's time to get a little bit more selfish. After all, you really are worth it!
Why not learn a new skill? Learning something new stimulates your mind and really does increase your confidence. Self-hypnosis, meditation, tai chi, yoga, for example, are all fascinating and can bring you into contact with new people, providing a fresh perspective on life. You don't need to learn new skills in a group setting, of course. You can buy a recording or a book. And your library has many books that will enable you to get a real grasp on many new skills and interests.
Go ahead, take these 3 simple steps and see how things change and become so much more manageable.
Invest in yourself and that investment will pay real dividends!
