Penganggur Mencapai 157 Ribu Orang
BANDUNG -- Angka pengangguran di Kota Bandung cukup tinggi. Pada 2007 ini, jumlah pengangguran di Kota Bandung mencapai 157 ribu orang. Masih tingginya angka pengangguran di Kota Bandung terjadi karena lapangan lowongan kerja yang ada belum bisa menyerap seluruh tenaga kerja. Selain itu, banyak perusahaan yang gulung tikar dan mem-PHK karyawannya.
Menurut Kepala Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi (Disnakertrans) Kota Bandung, Adang Sopandi, untuk mengurangi angka pengangguran, pihaknya terus melakukan berbagai upaya. ''Salah satu upaya yang kami lakukan dengan menggelar festival lowongan kerja. Pada 2007 ini, kami akan melaksanakan festival lowongan kerja sampai tiga kali,'' kata dia, Selasa (22/5).
Pada pelaksanaan festival lowongan kerja pertama di 2007 ini, pihaknya berharap 6.000 tenaga kerja di Kota Bandung bisa ditampung. Apalagi, kata dia, perusahaan yang mengikuti festival ada sebanyak 41 perusahaan dengan berbagai posisi yang ditawarkan. ''Untuk menggelar festival tenaga kerja ini, kami bekerja sama dengan Kamar Dagang dan Industri (Kadin) Kota Bandung,'' kata dia. ***

People Skills and Empathy In Your Home Based Business Career
I am on my computer for about 6 hours a day. I am committed to my internet marketing business even though this is not my full time career. I love to write about different subjects and I love learning new ideas regarding internet marketing on a daily basis. Even though I work from home, however, I still need to work on my interpersonal skills (also known as people skills). When you own an internet marketing business you will be doing a lot of business via email, im, and through article and blog marketing.
However, we must not forget that we still have to connect with people via the telephone or perhaps in person. We must not forget these skills if we really want to succeed in our home based business and make money online. If we do not continually polish these skills, we will get rusty and may lose our ability to effectively communicate with others. As a piano teacher, prior therapist, and internet marketer and coach for newbies, I have to work with people a lot. One of the ways that I keep my people skills polished is that I focus on what the other person needs. I try to listen to it, hear it, and empathize and understand their needs the best that I can.
When you empathize with another person, you try to put yourself in his or her shoes. This is an effective technique at working with others because you will try to see the world the best that you can from his or her perspective. Without empathy for another person, it is very hard to connect in a truly effective way. Empathy is one part of effective people skills and it does not hurt to be empathic in other areas of your life as well.
Sometimes we can forget to be empathic and we focus solely on ourselves and what we need. When we focus on the needs of others we will be surprised that what comes back to us can be multiplied in many ways! ***

Do you feel burnt out as you work from home in your efforts to make money online? If you do, I can understand why. If you are selling a wealth program or a direct sales program you will most likely need to talk to someone on the phone. Actually, you will most likely need to talk to many people on the phone. As we know this is all a numbers game, and the more people we speak to, the greater the chance for success.There is one problem with this, however that I would like to discuss.
How can we possibly talk to many people on the phone in a given day and actually market our program as well? The answer is .. that we cannot. Internet marketing is what it is. Internet marketing is a full time job and a job that requires tremendous effort, thought, and planning. It also requires a well thought out strategy which is extremely time consuming to say the least. As a part time piano teacher and part time internet coach and mentor for newbies, I know that I cannot possibly sell and market my programs at the same time. Plain and simple.. there is just not enough time in the day to do both.
This is where delegation of responsibility comes into play. An example of this would be to hire someone to do your craigslist posting. You can find a reputable outsourcing company or find and hire someone from the local area. Another area of delegation is in the area of sales. If you give a sales account executive a nice commissions, and treat him or her well, you will not have to spent 16 hours of your waking hours working in your online home based internet marketing business. In my opinion, this is one of the most important aspects of delegation as it has worked quite well for me.
Delegation is the key to running a successful online internet business and maintain your sanity at the same time. Work from home should be a freeing, liberation, empowering experience... not a prison. Michelle Tukachinsky ***

How To Be More Productive In Your Online Marketing Business Career
I am writing this article to help others as well as help myself work more productively online. I find that I spend several hours per day online in my home based internet business. A lot of the time I spend online, however, is wasted uproductively and this is truly valuable time we are talking about. I find that at the end of my workday that I have not truly accomplished what I had set out to do earlier in the day.
How can we work online in a more productive way throughout our workday? Here are some suggestions.
1. Write down a list at the beginning of your workday on what you would like to accomplish during your workday. Prioritize those tasks that MUST get done vs. those tasks which you would like to get done.
2. Make sure that you set aside and devote a certain amount of time to these tasks. Do not give yourself too much time for each task because it will leave you open for wasting some of that time on that which is counterproductive.
3. Research what works for you in your type of business. You may spend several hours utilizing safelists that nobody reads and you may waste your precious time earning credits for these lists by spending time reading. I have not found utilizing safe lists as time well spent.
4. Schedule in frequent small breaks so that your mental energy is able to get replenished. Spending hours in front of the computer without a break is going to exhaust you and will most certainly cut down on your productivity.
5. Lastly, reward yourself for all of your efforts by having some fun online doing something totally unrelated to your business. ***
